General Info
Granite Pathways is a non-profit organization formed in 2009 by a group of dedicated individuals and family members to bring to Manchester, NH opportunities for improved outcomes in recovery from mental illness. The program will follow a proven model of success, as exemplified by Fountain House in New York City and Genesis Club in Worcester, MA., and will follow the certification standards of the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD). A fundamental element of the program is recognizing the dignity of each individual and empowering participants to play key roles in helping themselves and others. The goals of Granite Pathways are to: Enhance participants’ employment opportunities, stability, and wages Increase the number of individuals with mental illness who are advancing their educations and career training Eliminate the social isolation of mental illness and provide an environment in which participants build healthy and fulfilling social relationships Improve participants’ resiliency, coping skills and access to housing and basic needs Eliminate the stigma of mental illness and build participants’ sense of hope, pride and dignity.
