      Welcome to Buckland ENT, LLCEst. 1984Dr. Michael J. Franklin and his team provide a wide range of otolaryngology services to the residents of Manchester and surrounding areas including treatment for seasonal allergies, asthma, hearing loss, sinus infections, ear infections, sleep apnea, nasal fractures, tonsillitis, voice disorders, and cancer of the mouth, throat, and neck. Our three highly trained audiologists specialize in all aspects of hearing loss including hearing aid dispensing and repairs. They are experts in the newest hearing aid technology. Custom swim molds and musicians ear plugs are also available.Dr. Michael J. Franklin also offers a variety of testing options to evaluate suspected environmental or seasonal allergies which may be the underlying cause of chronic or recurrent sinus infections if not properly treated. Options include:1. Prick (scratch) skin testing: Individual solutions containing the suspected allergens are placed on the skin using a prick device. 2. Intradermal skin testing: Individual solutions containing the suspected allergens are placed just underneath the surface of the skin using a small needle.3. RAST Blood testing: Patients may require blood tests to complete their allergy evaluation. This test is obtained in some situations where allergy skin testing is not appropriate (Ex: Unable to discontinue certain medications that would affect skin test results.)4. Spirometry (Lung Function Test): This test specifically evaluates for asthma. Asthma often occurs in individuals who have allergies. If you report or notice symptoms or have exam findings that are suspicious for asthma, spirometry will most likely be used for evaluation. ***Please note, the appropriate type of testing will be determined after a thorough evaluation and history.
