All I can say is they were the worst installation of a heat pump I ever had. They could not get it to operate properly and had to hire an outside company to come in and repair what C.C. Fuel Oil did incorrectly. I also had them install a humidifier, a 2 hour job that took all day. They obviously have lost the recipie!

The crew at Chester County Fuel Oil did a fabulous job installing my new furnace and air- conditioning system. I really appreciated the personal service that was given to me especially all the information about all the equipment that was installed. They did a wonderful job with the clean-up, too, I didn't have to do a thing after they were finished. Chester County is a terrific company and they provide superior service.

I've used the company for HVAC, and have done so for three years. I am very pleased. We had some disagreements early on however they fixed them all, to my satisfaction. The oil pricing program through the Co-Op is more than fair. The company has been very accomodating, and the office staff is extremely professional and courteous. At the end of the season, any surplus in my account is returned immediately, not 30+ days later like other companies. When you sign a contract both sides commit to perform; the business purchases oil on the futures market, and the customer agrees to pay when the season begins. There is obviously risk to lock in a price or not. Just because the oil price may fall during the season, the company still needs to extend their money to buy a future price in the summer. Oil futures and consumer fuel oil contracts both involve risk. Speculating that the price of oil will stay at summer price levels or fall in the winter, is risky as well. It's called choice.

I had a bi-yearly maintenance contract with them to service my heat pump. They never called to schedule my appointment for the winter. When I called I was told I needed to call and schedule even though I had already prepaid for the service. It took forever to get it scheduled. It was the end of Dec by the time they finally came out. A week prior I had a problem with the heater which could have been avoided if they would have serviced the heater at a normal time like all other companies. I asked to only pay 1/2 of the rate I was charged and was told no that it was my fault the appointment was scheduled so late. Terrible customer service from the woman who schedules the appointments and the owner. I will tell everyone I know to not use Chester County Fuel Oil.

I use Chester County Fuel through the Energy Coop Program. It's a great deal. You pay them cash when you need a delivery and they charge 12 cents above current wholesale price as determined by the market place. When prices go up, you pay more, but when prices go down you pay less. If you can budget on your own, I highly recommend it

I made the mistake of locking in an oil price last year at 4.67/gallon. About a month later prices dropped and most other companies lowered their prices. Chester County refused to drop prices unless I paid a $350 fee to free me from my contract. This year I went with another company, but Chester County just this week sent me a bill for $210 dollars (marked PAST DUE) which I did not owe. When I called them they said that service contracts were automatically renewable with or without my consent. They said they had contacted me and had gotten no response. NOT TRUE. I was never contacted by them about a contract. I refused to pay. I hope no one else was taken in by this scam.

the delivery drivers are rude and the prices they charge are higher than most other dealers also Liheap customers are charged much more than cash customers. I guess they feel that its OK to rip off the taxpayers and take from the poor.
