The roots of A-Z Office Resource, Inc began in 1985 when M.G. "Butch" West, Jr. purchased The Office Resource located in Columbia, Tennessee. The basic tenets of his new company were simple but still stand true to this day " "to provide exceptional personal, professional and on-time service to the customer ; without compromising on competitive pricing and a great product selection." Success came quickly, resulting in the acquisition of long time Middle Tennessee dealer, A-Z Office Supply Company. Along with the acquisition came a new name and operations hub, moving the newly named A-Z Office Resource, Inc to its current location of Nashville, Tennessee.The late 80's and early 90's marked a dramatic shift in the office supply industry with the advent of the " big box" chain store concept.
