Nice guy and it looks like he does ok work on some things but I took a bear hide here to be  into a rug and have the skull cleaned and bleached. When I went to pick up the rug the head was noticeably wrong. Way too small and the ears were not set right. Looked like a dogs head.I mentioned this but Joe said they were correct and was adamant. I didn't have a picture of the bear on me at the time but knowing I had 2 other mounts at home I paid him and took it home to get a better idea of what to do.

After getting home the items wrong with this rug were just too much and I took it back with one of my other mounts to show him what was wrong. The rug was not even around the hide.  Hair was trimmed to the skin on one leg but not the other. I know the hair trimminv wasn't an issue during skinning since I was there when it was skun out.  The hide had been ripped and sewn back togethere which could have been during fleshing or tanning.  Joe couldn't understand that the head was too small and the hair on the back of the head was bunched up. Even after showing him a photo he said that doesn't help.  He just asked me what I wanted changed but I was not impressed enough to let him have another go at it so he gave me some money back on it and I took it elsewhere.

The taxidermist that I took it to saw the issue right away and is trying to fix it. All in all this was by no means a good job and it was not cheep either. I would not recommend Joe for any bear mounts ever
