- Emergency CareIf your child sustains an eye injury, you should immediately get them to a pediatric eye specialist for emergency care.
- GlaucomaMost eye diseases are completely asymptomatic (show no noticeable symptoms) in their early stages when they are most easily treated (including glaucoma and retinopathies). Early detection, therefore, is an important part of eye care. It is imperative that patients, especially those at increased risk, receive routine screening by medical and surgical specialists trained in dealing with these disorders.

- Macular DegenerationAs we age, the macula can begin to deteriorate and affect our vision. The macula itself is located at the center of the retina and is responsible for detailed vision. Age-related macular degeneration can be categorized as Wet or Dry Macular Degeneration. This classifies both the type and how best to treat the disease.

- CataractsRemoval of cataracts is crucial to prevent severe loss of vision and the debilitating effects that this common condition can cause.
- Cataract SurgeryRefractive Lens Exchange surgery (RLE) is performed in a similar way as cataract surgery. During the procedure, the natural crystalline lens is removed and replaced with an Intraocular lens implant, or IOL. The only difference is that the natural crystalline lens has not developed or has not fully developed cataracts yet. After getting RLE, you will also never have to undergo cataract surgery.

- Diabetes Care
- Diabetic RetinopathyThe retina has small blood vessels that can be damaged by chronically high blood sugar levels or high blood pressure. Diabetic Retinopathy occurs when these vessels start to leak, or hemorrhage, distorting one’s vision. Often, the abnormal blood vessels that develop in Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (PDR) can create traction ( VMT ) on the delicate retinal surface. Vitrectomy surgery is often required for traction and retinal detachments associated with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.

- BotoxAt the Aesthetic Center of Lubbock and the Aesthetic Center of Midland, we offer aesthetic treatments, including facials and peels, microneedling, dermal fillers, Botox, Dysport, CoolsSculpting, fat dissolving injections, and hair restoration.
- Cosmetic SurgeryThe LASIK procedure is often considered an elective or cosmetic surgery, which means many insurance companies may not cover LASIK. Most patients end up paying for the majority (if not all) of the procedure out of pocket. It’s still very much worth asking your insurance company about your options and if your policy includes a benefit for advanced vision correction. Each person’s needs and circumstances are different.
- Acne Treatment
- UlcerInflammation may affect the conjunctiva, a highly specialized skin covering the front of the eye. It may be caused by allergies, reactions to chemicals or infections. Infections may be caused by viruses, fungi, bacteria or protozoa. If the infection affects the cornea, it may cause a corneal ulcer. Corneal infections are associated with redness, pain, light sensitivity, and reduced vision in the affected eye. Any infection in the cornea can lead to scar formation. Scarring can reduce the quality of vision, so prompt diagnosis and treatment of infections is critical. Risk factors for corneal infections include contact lens wear, injury or eye trauma.
- Chemical PeelsTry facials and peels to reclaim clean, clear skin that looks and feels healthy. We offer the DiamondGlow, dermaplaning, and chemical peels to exfoliate and reveal rejuvenated skin.
