This is the old Rainbow Cafe, one of the places where Jack Kerouac used to hang out. The new owners have kept the interior much the same. The beer is cheap. They have live bands. The neighborhood could be better but urban renewal destroyed much of the old Greek neighborhood that used to be here. The new owners don't use the outdoor area like the old place used to. That's too bad; the smokers would have a place to go. One drawback: the help seemed to be rather indifferent to my presence nor to the history of the place.

This place is in a bad part of town. Stopped in recently with some friends ( wouldn't go there alone! ) and wouldn't you know it there was a fight betweeen two groups. It carried on outside and there were cops everwhere busting people. Don't think I'd go back.

Great place, nice atmosphere, easy to kick back and enjoy a few. They are always trying new entertainment and events. Definately check it out if you are looking for a good time.

Drove by this place a few times and decided to stop in one Saturday night with some buddies and was very surprised. Quick service with a friendly smile, shiny new bar, they had a few dart boards and a pool table, nice hardwood dancefloor. I asked their DJ to play some Nine Inch Nails (fully expecting to not hear my song....No one ever plays it for me) and he pulled it up on his computer and played it right away. He had some lights and the sound was amazing. Something you would totally expect to hear out of a Boston night club. This place is like a hidden gem, gotta go check it out for yourself.. NO COVER either. Big parking lot across the street, and no charge for parking. The only thing I found awkward was the bathroom setup. There are three bathroom doors? Why three? I asked the Dj and he said in case one stops working there is a backup.. Good idea, but still confusing..
