Two enthusiastic thumbs up from me and my wife, and instantly vaulted into our top 3 Mexican food restaurants in Loveland (and BTW that's not saying it's 3rd). Prices were low enough to make us wonder if the food would be low quality, but the opposite was true. The flavor of the salsa wasn't what got us raving, but the heat level was perfect. I had chicken fajitas and my wife had chicken enchiladas; both of us agreed there's a certain freshness to the food that we don't find anywhere else. I don't know how our server could have done a better job; from friendliness to keeping our drinks filled, she was amazing. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

You have to love taking the family out to eat and getting great food at a pleasant price. Seriously, I know that we will get consistent great friendly service and super food and not break the bank. You have to ask how hot the green chile is for it can vary on the batch of chiles that they have purchased. I usually get half mild and half hot and I am safe. I like things a bit spicy, but I don't want to burn my mouth.

Dinner the evening of 10/20 was very disappointing. My wife ordered a stuffed sopapilla and that was good. My meal was the Chili Relleno dinner and it was not good. There was excessive breading and cheese. The cheese was not melted and the pepper was minimal. There was lots of lettuce, but only a tablespoon of tomato if that. Overall it was like a TV dinner. We will probably return, but will not order the Rellano dinner again. I have been to several other Santiago's locations in Colorado and always had a good meal, but not in Loveland.
