  Was raised in Lexington Kentucky...the daughter of two professors at the University of Kentucky. After completing her undergraduate in Behavioral Psychology, she attended the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. She completed her internship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and went on to complete her Pediatric Residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Dr. Distler has served her local Pediatric community through numerous committees at Kosair Children’s Hospital including the Medical Executive Committee, Governance Committee, and as President of the Medical House-Staff. Her areas of interest include behavioral psychology, adolescent medicine and dermatology. She is married to Dr. Mark Distler and is the proud mother of three children-including twins. She loves being a clinical instructor for several colleges and universities; and her hobbies include training and working with therapy dogs, cooking, tent camping, playing the piano, skiing and hiking.
