It was 18yrs ago when I bought my first model there. I bought the USS Arizona battleship for 10.99 and now even today their prices are about the same. My best friend BJ at that time lived on a small piece of land behind the area where the super wal-mart is in middletown where his parents had a fish pond back in the woods....This was all mostly before the internet or at least before you could buy most anything online. Back then Lee was and he still the store manager. What I remember most was that funny grin Lee had on is face when I would tell him about how me and BJ were fighting a war. We both would buy WW2 model warships and paint them up all nice and then we would take turns shooting a pellet pistol at eachothers boats in battle until only one mans ship was still alive. My friend and I had alot of fun back then going to war against each other in that pond purchasing our navy from hobby town. I know Lee always knows who I am when he sees me and Lee if your reading this don't bother asking me who won the war because its not over. Instead of several battles a year now we have one epic battle per year normally around the 4th of July. Until BJ admits defeat and officially surrenders to me inside Hobbytown USA the war will go on for as long as it takes.

I would have to agree with the other review in that some of the employees aren't quite fully aware of what they're talking about; however, one or two that I've encountered are very knowledgeable, nice and helpful.

I just got into rc nitro cars about 1 month ago I have been to this shope about 6 times Im no longer going to go ever time I go in there the employess are rude and never want to help. This has to be one of the worst places I have ever stepped into. The prices are much higher then other hobby shops around such as HobbyWorld USA and Scale Reproductions, I give Hobbytown USA a big thumbs down dont waste your time in that place, especially if you have any question about anything..

The establishment is very clean and professional. The service is excellent.
