      Support 1010 Development Corporation Development Corporation is a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) tax-exempt charitable organization. Your support helps keep our doors open so we can continue developing more housing that is affordable for low-income Angelenos and expanding resident services programs which supplement our affordable housing. 1010 is a lean, efficient organization with only four full-time staff members. You can be assured that your tax-deductible contributions, whether financial or in-kind, directly support affordable housing and our residents. In late 2009, 1010 created a Rent Assistance Fund to provide emergency rent assistance to our residents who are struggling to make ends meet during this economic recession. Many of our residents have lost their jobs, had their hours cut, or closed their businesses. This strains their already limited resources, and we don't want them to lose their housing too. Our goal is to raise $10, 000 to initially fund the Rent Assistance Fund, and residents with extenuating circumstances will be able to apply to it for assistance once per year. Online donations can be made securely by clicking the link to the right. If you'd like your donation to go to the Rent Assistance Fund please specify this in the "Designate my donation" box on the donation page. Otherwise your donation will support our general operations, our most critically needed funds. If you are interested in discussing including 1010 in your estate planning please contact our Chief Operating Officer, John Stern. Financial donations are not the only way to support 1010.
