Great experience

I came in expecting to have a tooth implant, but didn't expect the level of comfort and care. I was shown exactly what the procedure was, catered specifically for me. I left with an understanding of the work and the costs involved, and felt very comfortable about the level of care I would receive. The receptionists at front desk were kind and helpful. The nurse was kind. The procedure went well and I appreciate all involved! Thanks for making this a great experience.

I've had two separate procedures done by Dr. Anderson. 3 teeth pulled and 4 wisdom teeth removed. His bedside manner isn't the best and they always seem some what rushed, not just him but ALL of the staff, but they are quick and efficient. They made sure I was comfortable during both procedures, including giving me a blanket because of how cold I was. They explained everything for the recovery to not only me, but to my mom (she was there for the first procedure) and my boyfriend (he was there for the second procedure.) They always listen to my concerns or problems when I go in for checkups. The procedures themselves were done quickly and I have had very few problems. With my wisdom teeth I have had some lingering pain and an infection which is fairly common when having all 4 removed at once. I highly recommend Dr. Anderson and his staff. They're all very nice and professional and know what they're doing.

Disconnected from patients needs and concerns

When my wife had her wisdom teeth removed by dr anderson, first of all he was very aggressive inserting the needle for the sedative. She woke up during the procedure, and he did nothing to re-sedate her even though she was very obviously awake. She felt everything for the last tooth being removed. The pain medication he prescribed was ineffective and upset her stomach, so we went back for a non gereric pain medication. when the pharmacy was out of the name brand, they called his office and were told to substitute it for the same generic that was the problem to begin with.

Very good!

I had made an appointment for a consult on getting my wisdom teeth removed and felt very comfortable with his office and staff. I had made an appointment for the following week to get them removed. I will admit I was nervous because i have never had any type of surgery or anesthesia before, but his awesome staff calmed me down. I was told in a follow up visit that one of my wisdom teeth was a very difficult extraction, but to my surprise I had no real swelling or bruising. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled and I was back to work 2 days later. Their front office staff was great to work with me with my insurance and patient billing. I have recommended this office to friends and family.

Great surgeon!

Great surgeon! I was very pleased with the job he did on removing my wisdom teeth. He truly cares about his patients and spent time explaining the procedure before hand. His office staff were efficient and nice! If my family needs any more procedures we will be going to him.

Horrible Oral Surgeon

Dr. Anderson is a horrible oral surgeon, if you have been recommended to him, DO NOT GO. Find someone else. I went to him to have him pull my wisdom teeth and fix my jaw. However, when they put me to sleep he only fixed my jaw! When I woke up I had to ask him if he pulled my wisdom teeth and he forgot! They had to put me back to sleep right after I had woken up to pull them. Also, while he was pulling them he chipped my front tooth. Himself and his staff are unfriendly and don't seem to care about their patients at all. I am completely disappointed and will never go back to him or recommend him to anyone. I am thoroughly disappointed and angry with the way things have gone when in his office.

what a joke

for anybody considering going to dr gregory anderson i would think again, im being honest here i usually write reviews but this time i thought it would be a good idea to warn other people in advance. i had my surgery now over a month ago and i had all 4 wisdom teeth 2 were impacted. few weeks after the surgery i noticed a nasty smell and puss coming from one of the spots where the impacted teeth were i went into their office again to see what was going on thinking it wouldnt be a too big of a problem. when i was in there i felt like everyone there was too put out to help me and that i was making their day "harder" well now 2 antibiotics later and being in 3 different times, sad to say im still pussing in the same spot and dont even want to go back in. im going to my personal dentist to have him look at it now that there is a white hard crust forming around my gum. if i could give negative stars i would

Worst oral surgeon

Dr. Anderson is by far the WORST Oral surgeon I have been too. He broke my husbands tooth when he was removing his wisdom teeth. He is unwilling to fix his mistake. He and his staff have been nothing rude to us. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone!!

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

I was not at all impressed with the service we recieved at Dr. Anderson's Garland office.

My daughter had two wisdom teeth removed. The staff seemed to be in a hurry, We were scheduled to have it done at 3;30. They had us in the room by about 4:00 I was with her as we discussed the things to expect afterwards and stuff. The doctor inserted an IV, had a hard time finding a vein and prodded for some time creating a lot of bruising but that didn't bother me near as much as the fact that they had me leave as they put her to sleep and I was in the waiting room for no more than 10 minutes when they said they were done and she was waking up, she had a dificult time waking and she started vomiting right after waking up. The doctor came and and said to the nurse that they might want to move her to another room for a minute to see if they could help her feel better before sending her home and the nurse said no she would feel much better in her own home and so she put her in a wheel chair and wheeled her out to my car. The lights were already out in the building, everyone was leaving or had left and it was about 4:45pm.

I thought my daughter's wisdom teeth should have been an easy extraction but her jaw has been so traumatized that she hasn't been able to open her mouth more than 1/2 inch for the last four days. she has had a lot of swelling on both sides and today she has been oozing puss out of her cheek into her mouth. In my opinion, they were in too much of a hurry, because she was asleep while they did the procedure I feel that they were too agressive and not as careful as they should have been so that she could have the best recovery possible.

Dr. Anderson was out of town today so I called another Orthopedic surgeon today and found out that the pain she is in is actually more normal than I originally thought but I think Dr. Anderson should have prepared me more for this, he didnt' discuss with me that because her wisdom teeth were so small and coming in sideways they actually had to dig into the bone for them and it would cause great pain for a long time. She now has some infection and we are starting her on an antibiotic. I wish I would have been more informed and that they would have been more patient and not rushed us so much.
