We bought a groupon for canoeing and went this past weekend. We couldn't have been more excited to go. When we arrived and were greeted, the lady at the front desk was beyond RUDE. Threw the life jackets on the ground toward us and used the f*** word at least 5 times. We decided to move on from the horrible experience because it was going to be a great day.



As we were approaching the pick up location from our trip, we called the front desk and asked them to pick us up. The same lady said the bus was already there and would be there when we arrived. We stood and waited for around 5 minutes for the bus and began to call the front desk. It had begun to thunder and lightening and we were in the middle of corn fields. After 30, not even kidding, 30 calls to the front desk, they finally picked up the phone. At this point, we were hiding in someones garage to get out of the severe thunder and lightening storm. The front desk lady then told us that it wasn't her fault it was storming and they would be there eventually.



We waited for 2 men, completely drunk, and still drinking in the car to pick us up and take us back. We confronted the lady when we returned and she cussed, yelled and wouldn't apologize for leaving us in a thunderstorm. I am appalled that someone would run their business in this way. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. It's a complete scam and should be out of business. Anyone who treats their customers the way this lady treated us should not be in business.

We bought a Groupon for kayaking at Scioto Canoe Livery. I went to their website to see if we needed reservations. It says "APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED TUESDAY - FRIDAY, PLEASE CALL TO SET UP" on the homepage, so I figured we were fine since we were going on a Saturday. I tried calling a couple times to confirm this, but no one ever answered the phone, even during their business hours. When we arrived, I showed the woman at the front the Groupon and requested our kayaks. She pulled out a piece of notebook paper with names scribbled on it and asked if I was on "the list." I told her I wasn't since the website said no appointments on Saturdays. She scoffed, rolled her eyes and told me that if I knew how to read and follow directions, I would have known that they only do Groupons by appointment. I asked how long the wait would be if we got on the list and she told me she had no idea and then called for the next people in line without helping me any further to set up an appointment or find a solution. She was very rude and we will be getting our money back from Groupon this afternoon. Avoid this place at all costs.

WOW We drove an hour to bring our kayaks to this place and wanted to have a good day on the water. When we arrived there we asked for them to pick us up at the end of the trip BUT the old man we talked to said they were going to be too busy to do it. They advertise that they will haul your canoe or kayak for you for $10.00 each but they LIE. He said he couldn't do it for that and said he would do it for $25.00. What kind of crooks are these people? DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
