Not a big place, very much a family type operation, not flashy but they know their stuff. Knowledgeable staff and a good selection of fresh and salt fish.

Not what it used to Be

I've been a patron of this store for over 11 years. This store used to be the best in the metro area for selection of quality healthy fish and coral, especially on the marine end of the hobby. The store has never been exceptionally clean but their tanks were always very clean. This is just not the case anymore and the store seems to have gone downhill considerably over the past two years and even more so recently. The fish are not as well maintained as in previous years and on more occasions than not I see dead fish in their tanks which I never saw in this stores hay day. In days past if I bought a saltwater fish or coral here it would be an oddity to have any problems and if I did they were always willing to make it right without any hassle. The last two out of three times I purchased a fish at this store I had problems with it dying soon after or it introduced disease to the rest of my aquarium. In the past I never had to quarantine an animal bought at this store but that seems no longer to be the case. The coral selection, health, and tank cleanliness shares similar problems with the fish. They don't seem to be carrying the cutting edge reef equipment anymore either, as this was reason to visit this store in and of itself. The staff seems knowledgeable as long as you go in the evening or on the weekends but some of the sales staff can be condescending at times and often it is hard to get help. This never used to be the case at this store either. It's a shame cause I travel and visit stores all across the country and this used to be one of the best. Prices on livestock are still reasonable but the equipment they do carry is overpriced.

Little Store Big Selection

Have been in the marine aquarium hobby for over 5 years and having come from the west side of the metro area had never heard fo this store. Not the biggest but definately one of the more impressive selections of healthy fish I have seen anywhere and the prices were better than the store closest to my house. Very experienced knowledgeable and friendly staff. Is now my store of choice.
