      Aegis Health Perspectives, founded in 1999, is a private home care agency providing health care services to people with spinal cord injuries and other neuromuscular disorders. Aegis provides registered and licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, physical, occupational and massage therapists and home health aides that help in personal care, such as bathing, skin care, oral hygiene and grooming. It offers case management services, hospice care, transportation to physician appointments and outpatient procedures and medication monitoring. It also provides rehabilitation assistance with home therapy exercises, wound care and pain management and therapeutic ultrasound treatments. Its personnel receive training and education on special health requirements of patients with spinal cord injuries from the American Association of Spinal Cord Nurses. The agency is based in Livonia, Mich.
