Terra Mia

After reading reviews, I visited Terra Mia for the first time today (Sunday night) It has a nice abience. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is really good. My wife is very picky on what she likes but she too loved it. We are planning to go there again. Among three people we ordered one vegitarian selection, one chicken and one seafood. All were excellent, This is one of the best Italian food I have ever had.

I went on a Friday night with my girlfriend and had a great time. Super friendly staff whom all speak italian.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm, friendly and they encouraged us to stay as long as we liked.

I'll definitely go back.

After reading the reviews for this restaurant, I decided that I would take my husband here for his birthday. I'll write a reveiw when I try it out.

Finally we have a true italian restaurant. Livermore had lacked in quality dining and food until Terra Mia came along last spring. This is not a wannabe. This is not a fast food joint. This is for real. The owner went to southern Italy and brought back from there the chef and many of the servers. Franchesco the manager is personal, caring and a great person who cares about his customers. The atmosphere is excellent, comfortable, roomy. There are 2 banquet rooms for private or company parties. The food is to die for. Myself I love the Salmone Livornese and the Insalata De Mare. It is so rare to find a restaurant that can properly prepare a meal much less consistantly and here it is. Insalata de mare is a seafood salad that just leaves your mouth bursting with taste. She salmon is tender, moist, not like most restruants that overcook it; it is just perfect. You must come taste Italy; you will come running back.

We went to Terra Mia for a family get together and boy were we all impressed! You only need to travel to Livermore to get a cafe' seat on the Via Veneto in Rome. My appetizer came in a rich creamy blend of mushrooms and polenta. I think we all ordered pastas except for the lamb chops, which I tasted, and they were so goood! Our Italian waiter took the time to describe how they sauteed the seafood before introducing it to the al dente pasta.We were all full by the time we were done with dessert, proving that there was nothing left behind. Yum. I will not hesitate to go back. Very nice service. Great Food and Wine. Full Bar. Homemade Bread.

Terra Mia is numero uno, the best bread and the best homemade pasta I had ever had, I am Italian and I can tell you that it is very authentic and the servers make you think that you are right there in Italy, they all speak fluent Italian and small English, the environment is very cozy with a great selection of wine and cocktails. I certainly will go back there again and again. Buon Appetito!

Terra Mia was like finding a diamond in the ruff. We had no idea what to expect walking into this newly opened restaurant. Unlike most of the Italian restaurants we usually stumble upon, this one was in fact truly authentic. The authenticity began with the Italian greeting we received upon entering the restaurant and flowed into our meal while tasting and smelling delectable creations made by the Italian chefs behind the counter. Terra Mia transported us back to Italy for an evening and reminded us of what a restaurant is supposed to do, please all the senses.

Since they opened this year, we have become addicted to their food! Having the pleasure of traveling throughout Italy over the years, it's a joy to finally have authentic Italian cuisine in our area!!! We love the fresh clams and mussels antipasto and their polenta with mushrooms. My husband always orders the lamb chops, and it's always perfect . I have to try a new pasta each visit, but I'm crazy for the homemade gnocchi with creamy gorganzola sauce (YUM!)

The only problems we've had is the long wait on weekends (without reservations). Not a huge problem, because they do have a full bar.

Since they are originally from Italy, sometimes it's hard to understand (both you and them). But just speak slowly and have patience....they are all really sweet.
