- Dental CareAnnual dental care promotes better health, performance, and can increase your horse’s lifespan by many years. Colorado Equine Clinic veterinarians use a motorized dental float to restore proper mouth function. Tooth extractions can be done if necessary.
- VaccinationExceptions and/or additions to this core regimen need to be assessed by your horse’s particular situation. If you plan to travel with your horse, are planning to breed, have a new foal, or a recently imported horse, you will want to consult with a CEC veterinarian for other vaccinations or adaptations to the basic vaccinations.
- Veterinary OphthalmologyEach Colorado Equine Clinic veterinarian is trained to perform thorough eye examinations that include staining and dilation of the pupil. For more complex cases, we are happy to refer clients to Dr. Todd Hammond of The Eye Clinic as an onsite or referral consultant.
- Behavioral CounselingChiropractic is the process of performing motion palpation to diagnose joint subluxations, followed by appropriate, specific adjustments to restore normal function in the spine, limbs, and surrounding soft tissue. Chiropractic is most commonly used to treat neck and back pain, but can also be helpful in some cases of obscure lameness or behavioral problems caused by musculo/skeletal pain.
