Established in 1989, Pulaski County Jail is a detention center that houses county, state and federal inmates of Pulaski County, Ky. It serves various law enforcement agencies, including the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Somerset Police Department, Burnside Police Department, Science Hill Police Department, Eubank Police Department, Ferguson Police Department and the Kentucky State Police. The center provides inmate work and gang resistance education and training programs. It offers counseling classes for inmates suffering from alcohol addiction and substance abuse. The center maintains a library that stocks books, periodicals and newspapers, as well as provides a variety of leisure reading options for the inmates. Pulaski County Jail is a member of the Kentucky Jailers Association.
