Coolwater Pools does not even deserve a rating on here. They are the worse company I have ever seen and their business license should be pulled. They told me the pool pump would be installed yesterday before this incoming freeze gets here. That's the 3rd time they have been out to my house and still no work done. They have used the excuse that they couldn't do the work because of my dogs. My dogs have been inside the house, they stay inside. The tech left a note yesterday saying he didn't do the work because a special PVC was needed. There is no "special PVC pipe" needed. And if there was Home Depot and Lowe's is within 5 miles of my home. Not to mention A-Quality Pool store that sells PVC pipe that is 3 miles from my home and Leslie's Pool Supply 6 miles from my home. Myself and the Home Warranty Company has called this company numerous times and they do not call back. I paid them 247.00 that they said the warranty company would not cover yesterday and now I can't get ahold of them. And the email does not exist that they give out on their voice mail. Don't ever ever use this company or let your home warranty force you go with them.

We had the same problem. Our home warranty sent them out over 2 weeks ago, I paid service fee. I have called 8 times and have sent emails with no responses this week. Called warranty company to get another company out here. Will never do business with them again.

We had used their services through our home warranty program. They partially completed the work order (replacing the salt cell but not the timer). The first part of our order was completed on August 1, 2014. Immediately after they replaced the cell, the control board was saying there was no flow. We soon started having algae problems and I immediately started calling them. I followed-up with emails and called and emailed them daily for two weeks (subsequently, ten emails between August 4th and August 14th with just as many unreturned phone calls) trying to get someone out to resolve the problem. August 13th a representative came out to finish our work order and replace our timer.

After sending and leaving more frustrating emails and phone calls on the 14th, stating, "I don't know what to do here with you. I have left countless messages, sent multiple emails and I have gotten no where. What do I need to do to get this resolved? I am sorry to be such a pest, but if I don't get a response and someone to come out by tomorrow to fix the cell, I'll have to find another course of action to get this resolved." I finally received a response telling me a service manager would be out on the 15th to look at our pool and the no flow problem.

James, one of the co-owners came out and told us immediately we needed a flow switch for our pool. He looked at the controls and told us that it must have been worn out. After receiving a $260 estimate from them, and talking to the local pool supply store (and them telling us what to check), we realized that the jack for the flow switch was unplugged. What is even more interesting, is that the service representatives from Coolwater Pools and Spa all are the only people that have come to work on the pool and would have unplugged any parts to the controls (and the flow switch).

When the service manager (co-owner, James) was out "diagnosing" the problem. He looked at the control box and told us immediately told us we needed a flow switch. He didn't notice the cord for the flow switch was unplugged and didn't even check the connections.

As soon as we plugged this in last night, the salt cell started generating and this morning is running perfectly. There are no problems with the flow. It is generating.

Be warned of their horrible customer service and deceptive service/sales practices.

AWFUL. They were the assigned "contractor" from my home warranty company. They immediately cam, diagnosed the problem, and took my $65 check. They cashed the check and disappeared. No return phone calls. No return emails. Did not file claim with Home Warranty company. Nada. Complete Charlatans. RUN AWAY AND DO NOT USE THEM. I have filed a complaint with the BBB where they have a solid "D+" rating.

TERRIBLE. Assigned by my home warranty company, came out to diagnose the "easy fix" problem and said the part was very easy to get. A month later, 30 unanswered calls and emails, and several missed appointments, pool still hasn't been fixed. Stay far away from these crooks.

They were assigned through our warranty company. We scheduled time off on a Friday for their four hour window 1-4p. At 3 they call and say, sorry, the tech called in sick today and rescheduled for the next day. Tech came out the next day, said we needed a new filter and left. Haven't heard anything back. We've left messages and called and called and now the voicemail is full. No response for over a week, so we had the warranty company transfer to another contractor.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. We requested service through our home warranty company on Wednesday around noon for our pool problem and this company was assigned. By Friday we had not heard from the pool company so we left a message. Monday morning we left another message and emailed. By Monday afternoon, we called the home warranty company to report their lack of response. They assigned a new company that called us within an hour to schedule an appointment. Is this company even still in business? Horrible.

If I could give them a negative star I would. They do NOT respond to calls. 6 voice mail messages no reply. Still waiting on service. Tech called with a block number so you are unable to reach these people. RUN AWAY!

We had the same issue with this company. The warranty company sent them out, we paid the service fee and now we can't get them to answer our calls. We have no idea if they repaired the pool system or what the problem was. We have left 5 voice mails and 2 emails with no returned call or email, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Horrible service and they do not respond to phone calls or emails during normal business hours. They were called out to replace our pool motor and it was done in 20 minutes but we were left with a leak that ran down our alley and flooded our grassy area around the pool - They are horrible!

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. They are contracted with my home warranty co. yet they don't perform services in a timely manner, don't answer phone calls nor do they provide the customer with a courtesy call as to if or when they will be able to provide you with services.

These guys are horrible. If you are a paying customer, use someone else. If your home warranty assigns this company to you, ask for someone else. They do not return calls or emails. In the rare event you do actually get them to your house, they do not know how to fix pools. The part that takes 2-3 days to get in takes 28 days. Then its installed wrong and your pool leaks.

Don't use this company

These guys won't return phone calls or emails. They won;t finish a job started by my warranty company. I've never worked with a worse company.

Unresponsive. Unequipped. Unknowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and call someone else who knows what they're doing and will get the repair you need done in a timely manner. I might as well have got online and looked up how to do the repair myself because that seems like the same level of training that these guys have. This dude left my pump in pieces and stuffed a t-shirt in my pipe and disappeared. Now they say that they won't be back for 3 more days because they're too busy and didn't have the proper tools to do the repair the first time around?! 3 more days.

Don't you need your t-shirt??

This place is terrible!!!! If you come across them please put down the phone and call someone else. Terrible Customer Service, Terrible Repair Service and don't expect to EVER be able to call them and someone actually answer the phone. I have been dealing with them for a week now over a repair that should have taken a day to do and even though I've asked REPEATEDLY asked for the repairman to call me when he gets to my house it never happens. I come home to find pump parts scattered around, a camo shirt stuck in one of my pipes to keep the water from leaking out of our pool which doesn't work and guess what....you can't get in touch with anyone no matter what you do! I have complained repeatedly to our Warranty company that sent them out and believe me they are going to be really lucky if they even get the service fee from me because they don't deserve anything. They're obviously just some home based people that are trying to make a business and all they're really doing is stealing money from the warranty company that their associated with. They don't even deserve one star rating but I had to give them something.
