Columbiana County Jail and Misdemeanant Centers comprise more than 190 beds and is managed and operated by CiviGenics, a correctional services firm. It offers various services to male nonfelony offenders and pretrial detainees. The services provided by the center include booking, surveillance, security, classification, care and custody; food, medical and education services; and transfer and release procedures in coordination with the sheriff's department. CiviGenics contracts with the board of county commissioners of Columbiana County, Ohio, and accepts inmates from surrounding jurisdictions, including the Cuyahoga County. The center is regulated, under statute, by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, and is located in Lisbon, Ohio.
