Davidson County Board of Education is the governing body that establishes policies, sets directions and provides support to offer education to students of the Davidson County School System. The board also holds meetings and has right to change date, time and place of the meeting. Located in Lexington, N.C., it administers curricular and extracurricular activities of the school district. The board also manages the calendar of the school district. It is a part of Davidson County Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. The district s schools offers classes in biology, English, history and math. The school district also provides services for academically gifted students in kindergarten through grade 12.
