      Located in Lexington, Ky., Saint Joseph East is a 174-bed long-term acute care hospital that offers health care services to residents of central and eastern Kentucky. Its services include bariatric care; emergency services; cardiac care; radiology; sleep center, joint care; and maternal and child care services. The Center for Weight Loss Surgery at Saint Joseph East offers a multidisciplinary program focused on the medical and surgical treatment of obesity. The hospital s emergency department offers 24-hour trauma care services that include pediatric emergency services, cardiac trauma care and nurses trained in handling hazardous materials. Additionally, it offers a wide range of diagnostic services, including electrocardiogram, laboratory testing, and radiology and fluoroscopy. Saint Joseph East is a division of Saint Joseph Health Care, a nonprofit health care service, which is a part of Catholic Health Initiatives, a nonprofit health care organization, based in Denver.
