      Formed in 1945, the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Lewistown serves residents in Mifflin County with drinking water solutions. The company also offers fire protection through nearly 580 fire hydrants. The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Lewistown serves an average of 2.5 million gallons of water per day from the Laurel Creek Reservoir to a population of approximately 30,000 people.
