I purchased a Kenmore freezer from Sears and after almost 5 years it quit. I went to Deranleau's and picked out and paid for a Frigidaire. It was to be delivered - free- the next day but I meanwhile discovered that the Kenmore compressor was under warranty for 5 years, which a month remained. The delivery truck was in the front of my house and the new freezer was being delivered. I quick called the store and told them that Sears would honor the warranty and would they please cancel my order. They responded that sure they would as long as the freezer hadn't been actually brought into the house and hooked up. I received a full refund that day. Now, exactly one year later the Sears freezer failed again. You can be sure that I'll return to Deranleau's to buy the new one. And THAT is one of the advantages with dealing with a locally owned business.
Do not special order anything from them unless you are prepared for a runaround. One week became two and then two became three. disappointing to say the least
