- Dental ExaminationDental examinations and cleanings are a crucial part in maintaining good oral health for patients of all ages. We use the latest technology, like digital X-ray imaging and intraoral cameras, to help us be able to spot the early signs of oral health problems before they can wreak havoc for you and your loved ones’ smiles. Our dentists also work closely with each patient to create good at-home oral hygiene routines and preventive care plans so you can maintain a healthy smile for a lifetime.
- X-raysKhristian is a big people person, so she’s happy that her job allows her to meet (and help!) new people every day. She attended the Everest Institute for her training and has her certification in dental X-rays. At home, she has a husband, son, two cats (who she likes to dress up in sweaters), and a lizard waiting for her. You’ll often find her baking, listening to music, or spending quality time with her son.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOne of the main focuses of our team is to preserve generations of smiles by providing detail-oriented preventive dentistry, like routine checkups and cleanings, oral cancer screenings, and more. These visits are meant to help you maintain a healthy smile by catching the early signs or common oral health problems, like cavities, and addressing them before they have a chance to cause permanent damage to your mouth. If it has been longer than six months since you last visited the dentist, give us a call today!
- Teeth Cleaning
- Fluoride TreatmentWe believe that the best way to maintain a complete and healthy smile for a lifetime is with oral health education and preventive care. That’s why those are the main two focuses of our practice. We offer a wide range of preventive dental treatments, like checkups and cleanings, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and more, to keep small oral health problems from progressing into more serious ones. We also take the time during each visit to educate our patients on at-home oral hygiene and the connection between maintaining good oral health and overall wellness.
- Dental SealantsCavities are among the most common oral health problem for patients of all ages. Fortunately, if you find that your chances of developing cavities are higher than you’re comfortable with, we offer dental sealants to protect your pearly whites by keeping food debris and bacteria from collecting in the deep grooves and pits of your teeth. To learn more about this effective preventive treatment for both adults and children, give us a call today or ask at your next checkup and cleaning!
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeIn the past, dentists would fill cavities with a metal compound called amalgam that included silver, tin, copper, and mercury. Not only could these lead to increased dental sensitivity and other unwanted side-effects, but it also highlighted teeth that have sustained decay, making them noticeable whenever anybody opened their mouth to speak or eat. Today, we use a safe, biocompatible material called composite resin to fill decayed teeth and protect them from additional harm, all while blending in with the rest of the smile.
- VeneersVeneers aren’t considered permanent because they do need to be replaced since they can only last for up to 25 years with the proper care. However, preparation of your natural teeth is required for veneers to be placed, which is irreversible. This means that your prepared teeth will need to always be protected by veneers, so the treatment is a lifelong commitment.
- CrownsOur team at The Dental Group at Polaris regularly helps support teeth that are damaged or have been treated with custom-crafted, natural looking restorations like dental crowns and fillings. We use the latest technology, like digital X-ray imaging and our CEREC in-house milling machine, as well as durable materials to craft high-quality restorations that are built to stand the test of time.
- BridgesDental bridges utilize two different types of restorations to fill gaps in an arch of teeth: crowns and pontics, which are free-standing replacement teeth. The crowns are fused to one or more pontics cemented onto the existing teeth on either side of the gap in the smile to secure the bridge in place. These restorations are typically crafted from lifelike materials like ceramic and porcelain to be virtually indistinguishable from surrounding teeth.
- Dental BondingDental bonding utilizes a composite resin material that’s custom-shaded to match the color of your teeth to rebuild missing portions of your dental structure and erase chips and cracks in your smile. The resin is attached to your existing tooth and hardened with a UV light. We’ll then texturize the resin to look virtually indistinguishable from your natural enamel.
- Restorative Dentistry
- Root Canal TreatmentIt’s important to note that most dental insurance plans have varying benefits, so in order to find out if yours will cover a certain treatment, it’s best to contact them directly. However, many companies use a 100-80-50 coverage structure, which means they cover 100 percent of the cost of preventive care, like checkups and cleanings, 80 percent of basic treatments like cavity fillings, and 50 percent of more serious procedures like root canal therapy.
- DenturesModern dentures are a trusted treatment that can replace several or all missing teeth along an arch to improve your quality of life by making eating and speaking easier. Having gaps in your smile can have a drastic impact on your confidence as well as your oral health, which is why our team works closely with patients suffering from tooth loss to create customized treatment plans that provide them with revitalized smiles. - Tooth ExtractionsThe cost of your emergency visit will depend on the type of treatment you require, which our team will discuss with you once we’ve had an opportunity to examine your mouth and diagnose the damage or underlying issues. Some treatments may be as simple as a dental filling, while others could require more extensive procedures like a tooth extraction, which would cost more. In any case, our team is happy to help you navigate your dental insurance benefits and do our best to stick within your budget.
- Invisalign OrthodonticsInvisalign straightens your teeth with a sequence of custom-made clear aligners. Below are just a few reasons why Invisalign could be a great treatment option for you...
- BracesUnlike metal braces, you don’t have to brush and floss around wires and brackets and your diet isn’t as limited. Transparent aligners don’t disturb your lifestyle like metal braces can.
- Teeth WhiteningBonding can be used to fill small cavities or chipped teeth. It is also used to mask stains on teeth that brushing or whitening may not remove. Chipped or cracked teeth that are left untreated are at higher risk for tooth decay as the protective enamel is damaged. The Dental Group at Polaris has been bonding teeth to help patients achieve a happier, healthier smile for over 31 years.
