The Lewis Center Music Academy is one of the fastest growing music schools in the state of Ohio. Our goal is to foster creativity, confidence and grit in students of all ages through fun and engaging music instruction. With our world-class music teachers, innovative musical ladder system and top-notch facility, we help students to develop a life-long skill and passion for music. Between our Powell and Lewis Center locations we have taught over 2,000 music students! Located in the heart of Lewis Center, Ohio, we are only minutes away from students in Lewis Center, Delaware and Polaris. We offer music lessons and classes on Piano, Guitar, Voice, Singing, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Drums, Children's Choir, Kindermusik and more! Why Choose Us? 1. Amazing Teachers: Our music teachers all have university degrees and professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you achieve them. With multiple music teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons. 2. Performance Opportunities: We offer stress free optional recitals twice a year for our students in addition to other performance opportunities. Our recitals are fun, low pressure and can be a great way for students to build confidence and show off their hard work! We always make sure that students get to perform on a grand piano. For our students these recitals are free and unlike many schools in Columbus we do not charge recital participation or admission fees. In addition to our recitals we offer students the ability to perform with Guild, Royal Conservatory and our Jazz Combo. 3. The Musical Ladder System: We are the only music school in Columbus that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!) for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer prizes and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” Wristbands that they can show off to their friends. More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins. 4. A Proven Track Record: Every year, aspiring music teachers start their own studio, and a year or two later it’s closed. The Academy has a proven track record of offering music lessons and classes between our two locations in Powell, and Lewis Center since 2008. Our full time mission is teaching music lessons trusted by over 2,000 families for over 8 years. 5. Month to Month Lessons: The Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. We are so sure that you will love your lessons that we don’t have any long term contracts! Lessons are month to month and only require 30 days notice to stop classes. If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly to be here.

Business History

We started as a small music school in 2006 and opened our 1st location in Powell, OH, the Powell Academy of Music. Since then we have grown to two locations and have taught over 2,000 music students!

*Private Music Lessons: *Private Lessons are offered on all popular instruments and voice. *We Have Found That Private one-on-one instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and gain the best understanding for musical Techniques. *Students can start private lessons as young as 5 years old. *Students can start private lessons any time of the year or month so there?s no need to wait to get started. *A variety of styles are taught such as pop, jazz, rock and classical. *Beginners typically start with a 30 minute lesson each week, for intermediate and advanced students , we recommend a 60 minute lesson each week. Voice students typically take a 45 minute lesson each week as it takes about 5-10 minutes warm up. *Contact the school office to see which times and days are available .
