Established in 1965, South Plains Community Action Association is a nonprofit corporation that administers federal, state and local contracts for health and human services. It provides various opportunities for children to learn basic social concepts and develop self-esteem. The center offers a variety of child care programs. Its other services include minor home modifications, physical and occupational therapies, respite care, speech pathology and nursing services. It offers a variety of adaptive aids and medical supplies. In addition, it provides transportation and housing services. The center provides various health services, such as family planning, home health and primary health care and provides community support and assistance programs.
