      Great find

      I had a great first experience appointment with Dr. Werly. I have been looking for a new PCP and I found her. She listens, has great bedside manner and makes made me feel important.

      Maria Werly, MD, is a Board-certified family medicine physician with AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at Lenexa. With a focus on whole-person health, she provides primary care for adults and children, ages 2 and older, with a wide range of health needs. Dr. Werly earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and she completed her family medicine residency, including service as chief resident, at Adventist Health Glendale in California. Prior to joining AdventHealth Medical Group in 2021, for nine years Dr. Werly served the rural community of Smithville, Missouri, where she helped develop and lead a new clinic model focused on life care and whole-person health. Among her numerous honors for professional excellence, Dr. Werly was a nominee for Physician of the Year while in Smithville and was awarded Resident of the Year and Best Bedside Manner awards during her residency. Her service to the community has included volunteering as a physician mentor for career aspiration programs, co-organizing an annual fall festival/safe trunk-or-treat community event and conducting youth sports physicals. When she’s not at the office, Dr. Werly enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two young children.
