Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic.       I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! Fresh food that I've never once had an issue with! I visit regularly. Sometimes the employees are a little short, but even that is WAY above par for fast food. It's very family friendly and affordable.

      The food is delicious. I love the salsa bar. My favorites are the chicken tacos, and chicken salads. Sometimes I have to get the side Loco Salad and get the Chicken Asada tacos with corn tortillas and a side of guacamole. Yum!

      not what I expected

      I stopped at el pollo loco after picking someone up from the airport. I do not eat fast food-- but we were starved. WOW! I haven't been to that other chicken place in a decade because fast food is usually awful. I couldn't believe the freshness and the quality. In the month since discovering pollo loco I have made the 14 mile trip about once a week. This is just plain fresh, flavorful, unscary good food!
