      Citrus County Detention Facility, managed by the Corrections Corporation of America, is a multilevel security detention facility for males and females. The facility houses more than 750 beds. Founded in 1995, it offers a variety of anger and stress management programs. The facility also conducts classes in reading, math and Bible studies. Citrus County Detention Facility provides substance abuse prevention and religious solutions. Established in 1983, Corrections Corporation of America is one of the leading providers of privately managed correctional services for the federal, state and local governments in the United States. The parent company is engaged in the management, design and construction of over 60 correctional facilities and detention centers throughout the U.S.
