A trip to Lebanon is not complete unless you stop by Reading's Fly Shop. I only wish that Charlie had his shop closer to me. I have traveled around the country fly fishing for over 50 years and favorite fly shop is Charlies. He is knowledgable on all topics and willing to share is wealth of experience with anyone sincerely interested in learning. In my cirlce, I'm known as the best caster by far but if you want to see the Art of casting watch Charlie, He has most everything, will treat you right, answer your questions and it is truly a treat to wander around the shop, it is truly a unique fly shop. The only shop to rival Charlie's was when Ed Engle started his shop on the Frying Pan River in a Garage. Happy fishing. Bill Michael

Charlie really knows his stuff about all types of fishing. He taught me how to fly fish decently from one impromptu lesson out front in his pond. With more practice I'm sure I could become a master just from his few lessons. Charlie is a great guy, always making an effort to make his customers feel welcome and making sure they leave with all their questions answered. I loved listening to his stories while getting a new fly rod last time I was in town. I am always sure to stop by good old Charlie Reading's store whenever I am in or near Lebanon.

I bought my first fly rod from Charlie over tens years ago and he is without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met when it comes to trout. I also purchased my first tying vise from Charlie a few months later and it served me well for many years. Charlie takes the time to get to know his customers and he addresses their needs like no other shop owner I have ever met. I remember walking into his shop and asking "How do I catch these trout?" I had no idea the answer would take a few hours and a number of visits to his store, he taught me to cast, and explained about the insects that make up most of a trouts diet. I have since caught many many trout, but I never fish for them that I don't thank Charlie for all his help and patients with me. Thanks Charlie
