I visited VlCC, many years ago, found the service to be dynamic, and life-changing. Pastor Douglas was solid in his teachings of biblical truth, applications, and the glory of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit every time I walked through the church door. Genuine love radiated from the Pastor and his sweet spirited wife, and the entire congregation. I was greeted with heart felt hugs and a welcoming that led me to silently thank God for choosing this church. Regretfully, I moved back to my hometown due to an ill family member. I returned to Houston years later and assumed Agape Love, (former church), had closed. Recently, I gave a friend the name of two churches that would meet her church specifications. I googled the Pastors of both and was gratefully surprised to find that both existed. We visited the first one and she and I both agreed it was an "experience". The second one was approximately five minutes from my home. Now we had a church home, but Hubby and I felt something was missing. We all visited VlCC, and we were all greeted through the door with the warmest hug that was so familiar to me. She and I smiled, and time froze for me. I recognized most of the members from years ago, the ministering and anounting blessed my soul more than I could ever imagine. I marveled at the beauty and size of the church. I was floored by the youthness, and energy of the congregation. Pastor Douglas and his wife seem younger than I remembered. Though plagued with many personal challenges, I knew God had answered my prayers. I was low in spirit, but I knew it was due to my lack of patience. The music ministered, stirred my spirit and soul. I felt so blessed. Pastor Douglas spoke the ordained words of my God specifically affirming my breakthrough is near. GOD reminded me how much He still loved me through my tears and heartache. Satan thought I was out for the count, but God reminded me all power lies within Him. Sorry for the length, but as I end, I have not been back to my old church. I believe I have come full circle in my spiritual life journey. God has spoken to me at VLCC, through the radiance of love, music that cause a joyous inner stirring that connects with my mind, body and spirit. But greatest of all is to be under the teachings of Pastor Douglas, who is consistent in allowing God to speak directly to us through his mouth. You ask, how do I know? I tell you, it is because the people at VLCC are seed planters, seeds falling on rich soil. They are praising God daily for the profound miracles and manisfestations that come forth in the form of "money that just keep on coming", good health, abundant living, sucessful long standing ministries, youthfulness and paid off debt. I have not attended another church, since attending VLCC. I am living in a state of expectations now, Satan has once again been defeated. God spoke to me very clearly through Pastor Douglas teachings, I have power of the Holy Spirit to "apply" the blood of Jesus to every situation and circumstance in my life. In times like these, Pastor Douglas teaches that we need to go back to the cross, where our Savior died so that we can have eternal life in HIS presence.
