Gary and his company are excellent HVAC sales and service providers! They installed a new high-efficiency furnace and air conditioning system in my home in 2016. Our A/C wasn't working properly and Matt from Smedley identified a leak
ing A/C coil in our furnace. Our furnace is 19 years old so we coordinated with Smedley to replace the furnace and A/C coil as a unit. The salesman, Nelden did not pressure us to purchase the most expensive furnace or thermostat; in fact he recommended a creeper thermostat that would satisfy our needs and save money. The installer, Brady did an outstanding job of removing & replacing our old furnace & A/C coil. His attention to detail insured a very clean, appealing and professional installation. After several days of musical chairs trying to find an AC repairman that was covered by our extended home warranty program, I'm happy to say Smedley's came through for us with flying colors. We are just relieved to have dealt with a company that was prompt, professional, and perhaps most importantly honest! Instead of trying to sell the warranty company on an entirely new unit, they were comprehensive in their diagnostics and were able to restore service to our unit with only a few minor repairs. My furnace went out late at night, and I called first things in the morning and they sent out someone RIGHT AWAY. He was so kind and understanding and certainly did not pressure me to buy the most expensive one - in fact he told me that for my home, it would be overkill! They stayed until late that night to get the new furnace installed, and then when I got home, he was so patient to show we exactly what they did and exactly how to operate the new thermostat. That company said the furnance heat exchange needed to be replaced due to cracking but it would be much more economical in the long run to replace the entire furnace which they highly recommended. I decided to get a second opinion and and additional quote for both repair and replacement. Smedley's inspector gave the furnace a clean bill of health. I called Smedley to ask advice about the conflict and they sent a different inspector out to provide a tie breaker opinion at no additional charge.The second Smedley inspector agreed the furnace was safe. watched both Smedley inspectors as they performed their inspections. They were very thorough,explained each step of their inspection, were experienced and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Although I did not replace my furnace the quote from Smedley was over 1200$ less than the quote from the original contractor for installation of the identical Lennox equipment.

The service was great each time and the installers were professional, friendly, and helpful in answering any questions we had. with the A/C and furnace installation, customer service is great, they follow up on their work and the salesperson we dealt with for our A/C and furnace was easy to work with and not pushy. Definitely returning in the future.

I called Smedley's because I needed a new motor for my air condition. They wanted to charge me $326.00 more than another company for the exact same part. I won't using them this time or any other time. Very Disappointed with over priced parts. Check prices before you call because I had to pay for a service call to my house.

Recently, our home in the Avenues in Salt Lake City required a new A/C unit. After receiving competitive bids for the replacement, my wife and I chose Smedley to do the job. We were extremely pleased with the job that was done for us. It was done quickly and very professionally. The installation was located where we asked and all piping and necessary controls were very neatly installed and, in fact, covered with a piece of channel, which very closely matches the siding of the house. And all of this was done for a competitive price. I would highly recommend Smedley & Associates to anyone in need of plumbing or heating work.
