      Established in 1998, Alight Care Center is a private and nonprofit community located in Troy, N.Y. The center serves individuals and families in the capital region and surrounding communities by providing educational and support services. Its programs and services are designed for the prevention and intervention of abuse and other family life issues. The care center offers a wide variety of educational services, including childbirth classes, car seat safety and infant care programs, abstinence education, parenting, cooperative parenting and divorce programs, and anger management program. Alight Care Center additionally provides various other support services, such as stork room that offers free infant, toddler and maternity clothing to families in need, and one-to-one peer counseling services as well. The center is affiliated with Heartbeat International, a nonprofit and interdenominational Christian association. It allocates a certificate of participation to those clients who fulfill program requirements.
