- Pediatric CareSunshine Valley Pediatrics is currently accepting new patients. Whether your first visit is for a new baby or you are bringing your older children to our practice, please take the time to fill out our new patient forms located in our forms and policies section. Records release forms along with all necessary forms for your visit can be obtained on our Office Forms page.
- Emergency CareDo not call from a phone that does not accept blocked calls, as physicians will be calling from a phone with a blocked number. Also, please do not call for routine calls after hours (such as a dose of medication): please respect our physicians’ time with their families. These calls are subject to charge. For any urgent care issues that occur after midnight, patients are encouraged to be seen by a health professional.
- ImmunizationsOur practice strongly believes in administering childhood vaccination for disease prevention. In support of our beliefs and for the health and well-being of our patient population, we are not accepting new patients to the practice who do not comply with the minimum recommended vaccines: DTap, HiB and Prevnar 13 by the age of 1 and MMR by the age of 2.
- GynecologyDr. Chakkalakal is very outgoing and welcomes her patients to call her “Dr. Tresa”. Dr. Tresa originally trained in obstetrics and gynecology in India. After moving to the United States, she obtained her M.D., became Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and started her medical practice in New York. In addition to the clinical practice there, Dr. Tresa was also Chief of House Staff for the Department of Pediatrics at the Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center.

- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)If your child is new to our practice and you are calling to schedule an appointment to discuss asthma, ADD/ADHD or other chronic condition, it would be very helpful to us if, prior to coming in for the appointment, you could fill out a records release form to have your child’s medical records sent to us.Once our office receives the records, one of our physicians can review then and become familiar with your child in advance of your appointment. Records release forms can be obtained on our Office Forms page.
- Sports MedicineDr. Eric Sales is a double-board-certified pediatric sports medicine physician. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame prior to earning his medical degree. During his pediatric residency in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he took care of LSU and Southern University athletes. He then pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Florida-Orlando Health where he was a physician for the Orlando City Soccer Club, Orlando Pride, US Soccer U-20 Men’s National Team, Washington Nationals, Florida Fire Frogs, Orlando Ballet, PGA & LPGA tournaments, and USA Boxing. He enjoys rock climbing, the outdoors, and food.
