a great place to get married!

Shalimar was great our wedding was this past tuesday and everything from the day we made our reservations to the day we got married was superb. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone there for making our day so great.

great wedding chapel We renewed our wedding vows at the shalimar and had a great time from the time we reserved our renewal with joe on the phone he was great to the day we got to the chapel everything went off without a hitch. We got so much for the money my sister was with us and she talked her husband to renew their vows also. Thank you shalimar for making our day so special.

I has a wonderful experience at the Shalimar Wedding Chapel for my recent summer wedding. I was able to have it out on the gazebo which was a wonderful venue. My photographer was amazing and made me feel great in my pictures. I enjoyed the complimentary limousine and for only $150.00 I flt the experience was worth every cent. I recommend any couple looking for a wedding venue to look no further!!

Amy and I were so happy with our experience at Shalimar. The limo was awesome, the driver very welcoming. From the moment we entered Shalimar we were at peace with our choice. Nancy took perfect pictures and is the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for ! the reverend was great no stress at all perfect perfect thank you ! i loved everything about our special day. the value was great the chapel was beautiful thank you again.

Had our wedding at shalimar on 5th of July. Monica was so great and helpful we had bought our own flowers from a different flower shop and my bride was so upset because they were really ugly but Monica got her new flowers really fast and made her very happy. Charming, classy chapel. Tastefully decorated. The minister was very respectful and the chapel staff were very accomodating. We had a delightful day, full of great memories because of the beautiful photos taken at the Shalimar Wedding Chapel. I would recommend it to all couples who are looking for something special without spending a fortune.

Do not use this chapel, staff has NO idea whats going on.

My husband and I were married in this chapel earlier this week and were very pleased. The limo driver was very nice and cooperated with picking us up in VIP at Caesars Palace even calling the hotel personally to get permission to do so. The chapel was pretty. The roses were beautiful and fresh. The ceremony was amazing and our family from all over the country were able to view the ceremony via webcam. It was all in all a great experience and exceeded our expectations.

We got married at this chapel last Saturday and we loved the location , service and the staff, the whole thing was way better than we expected and we were pleasantly surprised.



Our wedding coordinator Monica did a fantastic job coordinating the whole thing including the pictures and flowers .

we will definitely go back with our family to renew our vows .

Getting married at the Shalimar wedding chapel was definitely fun and the staff were excellent.



The limo ride was great and the limo driver was very nice , the chapel itself was beautiful and we loved the colors , the bridal bouquet was beautiful and it matched our colors , the staff was the greatest , very sweet very patient and very professional , they are all about customer service , the minister was super nice and give us the option for the religious or non religious ceremony which it mattered to our family members .

The whole experience was great and first class from beginning to the end ,We would definitely consider going back for a renewal one day. This chapel was everything we wanted to be ,you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I got married at this chapel this past Friday and it was Wonderful .



Limo was new and clean and the driver was on time and professional .



The chapel was the best we have seen in Las Vegas , it was clean and beautifully decorated ,even the colors match my wife's dress .



the planner/photographer was very nice and patient , we had the package B with 18 pictures and when we got home to view the disk we had 32 pictures instead which made my bride very happy , we also purchased all of the optional photos at the end and they are totally worth it .



The flower bouquet It was given to my bride was beautiful and fresh .



the ceremony was very nice , our minister did an awesome job and we were able to say our own vows.



We loved the webcam be sure to take advantage of this service ,my 8 year old had to stay home with grandma due to school ,but she got to watch mom and dad getting married live .



My family absolutely loved it and said it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding.



We can't wait to renew our vows here!

Worst place ever! The photographer did not know how to take pictures....they took the worst pictures and then sold the two decent photographs to us at an insane price of 90 dollars....the only good thing about the place was the reverend, who did a good job. The bouquet was extremely small, basically not decorated at all...just a bunch of 6 dried out roses. They collect the tip for the limo driver and reverend from you before the wedding, which is insane. Even though the web site says its optional, they don't leave it as an option. The wedding area itself is very small, and can't accomodate even 15 guests properly. They say that the package includes 24 photos, but its basically 8 poses only, with three photos for each pose. Everything about the place was horrible, and my wedding day was ruined. It seems like its cheap, and you can save a lot of money on your wedding, but the service they provide is way cheaper than the amount you end up spending. Please avoid this if you want to have a happy wedding. I'm certain that the good reviews posted on this website are posted by the staff itself. Even when we spoke with them over they phone, they were extremely rude. The chapel is in a very shady location.

My fiancé and I chose to get married at the Shalimar Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on 12/17, and what a complete nightmare it turned out to be... First off, the Shalimar is located inside of the Howard Johnson's Hotel - Ho Jo's, and they never listed that on their website... They know that if they state that they are located inside of the Ho Jo's that nobody would ever select their location... There were actually prostitutes walking right around the hotel, and a strip club right across the street. There were tons of homeless people too. Enough on the location...

The staff was FAR WORSE!! Let me elaborate... The "professional photographer” could not take a good picture, if their life truly depended on it... What a nightmare, I truly feel that an 8 year old could take better pictures than their supposed "professional photographer". Not even one good picture! The Director of the Shalimar also seemed confused and not sharp...

The WORST part of our wedding day debacle was their supposed "minister" Reverend Cotton. I am not a racist at all, but will tell you that this black minister (in case he lied about his name), cannot consider himself a minster at all. He must have taken a 1 hour online certificate course or something, as he is certainly not a man of faith or religion. We called ahead of time and confirmed we could use our custom vows. We had custom vows written, and Reverend Cotton rushed us through the ceremony without even asking us if we had any custom vows. I swear to god Reverend Cotton's whole ceremony was less than 30 seconds long... This supposed "minister" then had the audacity to hand us an envelope and asked us for a $75 donation, while he stood next to me and counted the money that I placed in the envelope. He actually had the nerve to stand right next to me and count the money as I placed it in the envelope, and made me feel that if I did not provide his $75 shake down fee, that he may actually not record our license with the state of Nevada. My wife and I both felt that any donation was a complete rip-off, as he was undeserving of any tip, even $0.01. This supposed minister NEVER once even made eye contact with me or my wife during the entire ceremony; he ONLY made eye contact with the money going into the envelope! This was a very PUSHY and GREEDY tactic to use.

This place should be avoided like the plague, HIV, and venomous snakes... I have NEVER been treated so badly by the staff of any organization ANYWHERE ON EARTH, EVER!!! I had to do a review on the Shalimar Wedding Chapel, to let EVERYONE on Trip Advisor and other trusted review sites (as I am going to post this review to EVERY online review site I can find...) So that good honest, kind, couples in love, can avoid this place, and their TERRIBLE service.

The minister should have his license revoked, and I am going to call and inquire with the state licensing board in Nevada, as to how Reverend Cotton even got licensed in the first place, and to verify that Reverend Cotton is even a minister (which I highly doubt)! My wife and I are outraged at the minister and the photographer. Thanks Shalimar and your terrible staff for ruining our wedding day... Please go elsewhere in Las Vegas, and enjoy your wedding without the nightmare we experienced... You have several options that should NOT include the Shalimar Wedding Chapel.

We and my fiance got married at the Shalimar wedding chapel this past Friday ,and we have nothing but great things to say about this chapel and the staff , chapel was beautifully decorated and very romantic looking , Susan our coordinator was amazing , she took care of all of need from start to finish and she took the most amazing photos, and our Minister Rev.Smith did a wonderful job on performing our ceremony .



Overall we had a great experience .

My daughter got married their on 7/9/11 its was way out of the strip and the hotel is old and run down the chapel was petty and the paster was good ,but we had to paid extra for the webb cam and them their was no sound ? i call them and they said we dont have sound but the next day i watch a wedding and their was sound . i wouldnt tell anyone else to use them paid a little xtra and go with some else

We got married at shalimar on 12/18/2010 and could not have asked for more. Nancy was amazing with helping us with everything the gazebo was so beautiful. Thanks again shalimar for everything.
