If you love Thai food, Lotus of Siam is the place to go.This could be the best Thai food in the country. We have been eating here for a good 10 yrs. Don't be fooled, the current owners took over this location and did not change the name from the previous tenants. Okay, the atmosphere is not beautiful, but I don't care; the flavors the chef creates are indescribable. What this place lacks in ambiance, and sometimes service, it makes up for in food quality. The menu is vast. They even have Northern Thai menu options. They have an excellent, surprisingly extensive wine list, yet very reasonable corkage. Get the appetizer that is a minced sour sausage w/ crispy rice. Other favorite dishes are: steamed sea bass w/ green papaya salad; drunken sea bass deep-fried served over wide noodles; the fried rice is the most flavorful I've ever eaten; the pad thai is wonderful; duck red curry w/ pineapple and grapes, red & green peppers and Thai basil (personal favorite); short ribs curry.
