When I called and told Dr Rooter that we had a terrible smell coming from the shower, he said he knew what the problem was and could fix it, no problem. He said he charges $89. I asked if that was the show-up fee, and how much more, what if it took more than a few minutes, etc. I think you get the gist of questions, because other plumbers are so expensive. He said he charges $89 per hour and he should be able to take care of the problem in that time.



When they arrived came in and looked at the smelly shower and said that it was probably a hair clog. They did a thorough snake job on it. It took only a few minutes. He charged us the $89, like he said on the phone and that is all. If he was not honest he could have soaked us for a lot more money because we did not have any idea what was wrong.



I gave him 4 stars for promptness because they were a little late, BUT he did call well before the appointed time and let me know he was running late.
