My wife and I were looking for a small automatic that she could carry in her purse and we stopped into CCS Guns. The black lady behind the counter showed my wife several small guns and got her comfortable with the operation. We bought the gun that day and went right to the range where my wife shot up 200 rounds of ammo. Loved the gun and love CCS for there hospitality. Thank you again.

business structure

CCS GUNS business structure is just fine. They take care of each gun as it comes. When I stop by their shop there can be as many as 10 people there to drop off guns. I have seen them stop what they are doing to work on a METRO officers gun so he could continue his shift. Not everyone holds the rank of a Police officer who "needs" his gun immedietyl to protect our citizens, so Mr. Marine that needed his sights put on ASAP, if you had told them that you were headed over seas and the plane was waiting on your drive way, then they would have stopped and put your sights on right away. Therefore sir I don't think they use a hammer and chewing gum to instal sights and it is first come first served.

Steer clear of CCS! First of all, they way overcharge for simple transfers. Secondly, they insist on charging NV state sales tax on out of state transfers (which is NOT a legal procedure verified with Local Law enforcement and ATF)... Wonder where that money goes. I tried to have a rifle repaired which was held for over 6 months with no status change, I requested rifle back and took it to another business which resolved the issue in 30 minutes.

I have since conducted 30+ transactions with other FFL's with fantastic success. Be careful with CCS!!!

great place to do business

Over the years i have used several gunsmiths, until about 5 years ago, i started going to ccs. never go anywhere else now.I am not capable of doing any, even minor repair work , and i would estimate they have done in excess of 50 different jobs in that time, from minor adjustments, (usually no charge), entire gun coatings to complete (i mean COMPETE) rebuilding.I have also received good advice, like the cost of repair vs gun value just isn't worth it.I have referred several people who have used their services and never heard a complaint.Ever notice when people leave a negative report there is seldom a return address, so the matter may be resolved?pat

Terrible business structure

These people always have an excuse why simple jobs take a long time. A job that takes 5 minutes to do (installing new sights on a pistol) should not be placed in line behind jobs that take hours of actual gun smithing. Other places will do those jobs on the spot, and you pay them and go. I'd rather throw one of my guns off a cliff than have to ever let them work on it. They do not deserve my business, and they probably don't deserve yours.

CCS Gunsmithing

CCS Gunsmithing wasted my time today by failing to tell me that there was a $25 fee to take a quick look at my revolver. I drove 18.3 miles for nothing. I had called them on thursday(5-24-12) and friday the 25 and asked them about taking a look at my gun and what days and time they are open so they could have told me both times about the $25 fee. Ill stay with Spurlock's Gun Shop in henderson they have looked at and even oiled many of the guns I have bought and NEVER charged me a fee. THANK YOU Spurlock for being such a great shop and great customer service.

I have used their services 3 t...

I have used their services 3 times. If you are looking for honest, reliable work this is the place. One caution though, they are busy so your work may take some time but that is how it is at all gunsmiths unless the work you want is minor.

Satisfied Customer

I have brought several pistols and revolvers to Chris for varing things. All work has been done promptly, accurately and properly repaired the first time everytime. It is nice to have finally found a gunsmith that actually knows what he is doing, instead of practicing. Thanks Chris for understating how good your quality of work really is. Thanks David Hanes

Very direct & professional. The part I wanted was not in stock, so they offered to order one. And they knew what I was talking about. Great ! I have been in California too long.
