My cat has been seen by Dr. Mandelker and his staff since he was a kitten. He is now ten years old and Dr Mandelker has him in very good health and he is a happy boy cat who enjoys life and I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a good veterinarian.

I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, all of whom are wonderfully cared for at Community Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Mandelker and his talented staff are the most skilled and caring veterinary professionals I've ever dealt with.

I took my 8 year old dog in for teeth cleaning, nail trim, and bump off of back removed on September 11, 2014. Holly, my dog, received the best care and concern and her teeth were beautiful white afterwards. I was called several times after her surgery. I will never take my animals anywhere else.

Our chihuahua is such a happy dog but for 5 years he's been dealing with horrible allergies. We took him to a Veterinarian that put him on many pills and gave him many, many cortisone shots --- We took Otis to Dr. Mandelker 3 weeks ago and Otis is a new dog. He changed his diet, among other things. We had our follow up check up today and by strictly following Dr. Mandelker's suggestions our overweight Otis has lost 1.1 lbs. in 3 weeks! The best staff of trained people I have come to know since moving to Florida !!! Dr. Mandelker is the nicest doctor, he spends quality as well as quantity time with his furry patients. The staff call to check on your pet the next day if there was an emergency with your animal. I highly recommend Community Veterinary Hospital, I would not go anywhere else ! My Chow Chow trusts Dr. Lester Mandelker, that is very important to me :)

Fantastic doctor! I will never go anywhere else. After spending hundreds of dollars and seeing two vets my puppy was still having severe skin problems. Dr. M diagnosed her quickly and fixed my little girl. He is so caring. I love his holistic way of thinking. He went above and beyond giving me puppy tips, food ideas, and treat ideas. What a lovely practice. GREAT STAFF!!!

I took my 17yr old cat in to their practice for a second opinion after being told by another vet that nothing could be done for her and it was time to put her to sleep. After a very extensive exam the doctor gave us hope. He kept little Sammy for two days and when I got her back she was like a new cat! He gave us our little friend back! I highly recommend Community Veterinary Hospital to those who truly love their pets and want only the very best quality care for them. Our dog underwent emergency surgery last week. Dr. Mandelker was professional and compassionate, as was his staff. We received incredible follow up with daily calls regarding Lucy's condition. Our questions were answered with patience and true concern. Lucy has recovered quickly and I credit Dr. Mandelker's surgical expertise and skill in prescribing appropriate post-surgery meds. We feel very blessed to have had Community Veterinary Hospital recommended to us.

We were very pleased with the service we got at Community Veterinary Hospital. They were very professional and took good care of our Female Schnauzer and her 6 puppies. I have been taking my dog "RUSTY" to see Dr. Mandelker for just a short time now. Rusty is a 17 year old retriever/chow mix. He has been taking Rimadyl for quite a few years now and thankfully his liver has not been affected yet.Dr. Mandelker suggested a different and more "natural" approach to his arthritis treatment. I was skeptical....Rusty was doing OK, though he seemed tense in the belly area (indicating there was some pain going on).......I agreed to give it a try. Dr. Mandelker started a series of 4 Adequan injections (given 1 week apart) Dasuquin, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and Niacinamide; all given daily.Two weeks into the new regimen we started seeing an improvement in his condition. It's been 5 weeks now and there is no mistaking Rusty is a much happier and more animated dog. To top it off, his Rimadyl has been cut in half (not only a huge savings monetarily, but most important, much safer for his aging body) Rusty is back chasing the opossums in the back yard again and loving every minute of it .I'm so happy we started going to Community Veterinary Hospital when we did!!Thank you Dr. Mandelker!!

Dr. Mandelker & his staff are the best. We have been taking our 4 dogs to him for many years, when we recently lost our 16 yr old Llasa Apso everyone in the office was so compassionate & kind, realizing we had just lost a member of our family. Dr. Mandelker had treated our Llasa & diagnosed him with lupus-he made every attempt to use natural medicines & make his life a comfortable one. We had been taking him to another vet who continually prescribed antibiotics & other medications-we are convinced that he had such a LONG and HEALTHY life because of Dr. Mandelker's care! We can't say enough about this wonderful man who loves animals and genuinely cares for every one, as well as treating their owners like family. Dr. Mandelker continues to educate himself in veterinary medicine, is a great surgeon, has been in business in Largo for over 30 years, & has a real love of animals. Highly recommended!

The day after one of my cats has had any treatment or surgery, either Doc himself or staff calls to see how they're doing. If I ever have questions, I can email him and he will respond. He is an excellent surgeon and has become an expert in pharmacology. If a diagnosis or treatment troubles him, he seeks help from other vets and veterinary schools. His staff is unfailingly kind and helpful.
