Very poor service on Mopeds, I brought in working moped for minor repairs and got back non working with missing pieces. Also poor customer service, they don't return phone calls

I went here to get the tube replaced on the rear wheel of my bicycle. I rely on my bike for easy transportation during the warm months in MI, as I don't own a car, and told the shop as much.

Despite this, they kept my bike for 6+ weeks, didn't return my calls. I finally went in personally, and realized they had never done any work on my bike, and quickly rushed to do work on it in the back, making me wait for an hour in the front. When they brought it out, finally, they explained to me what they had done, which was not what I had requested - rather than replace the tube, which is what it needed, they told me they simply "pushed everything back into place", and in a condescending tone told me I could have done as much at home, it didn't need any actual repairs or replacement parts, charged me a crazy amount anyway plus a fee for "storage" for having kept it for so long (when I had been told it would be done within a couple days), and upon payment, simply took my cash. I stood, and waited, and finally said, "Could I get my change, please?", and the man waiting on me looked annoyed, but gave me a random amount of money as "change". He never even looked at the cash I handed him to pay, and didn't give me the correct change back after I asked for my change, but at that point I was so angry I just wanted my bike back, and left.

Later that day, as I was attempting to ride my bike to work, the tire came out of the wheel frame with a loud "BANG", and the tube inside burst a hole... because it needed replaced, not, "pushed back into place", but what do I know?

I'm not sure if I was treated so poorly because it wasn't a fancy, top-of-the-line bike, because I'm a woman, they simply thought I was stupid, or because I don't look like an angry 40 year old, but I will never, ever return this business. They made me feel robbed, not only of my money but also of my time and of my dignity.

Truly, this shop has been an amazing one! They have sell lots of quality parts and the install is very affordable.

I dealt with the owner when I dropped my bike off and picked it up the next day for a minor repair. I felt He cared more about making sure I was good to go than making a buck.

Went in to look for pedals for my bike. Greeted immediately. Told salesperson what I needed, and he took me over to the pedal display. He explained the differences between all of them so I could make a decision. Great service and very knowledgeable. I would certainly buy from here again.

I have been to Riverfront twice now for a minor repairs to my $200 Cineese made bike from Meijer. Each time I have gone in there I was greeted by their mechanic and he was more than happy to make the adjustments for me, without even asking for a dime. I mean whereelse can you go and have a place fix something they didn't sell and behappy to do it, at no charge? I suppose it is fair to say in business that 100% of your customers are not going to be happy 100% of the time. But give these guys a try, I think you will be happy with the way you are treated. And who knows, maybe the other two got a bad sales person who isn't even there anymore.
