I lived at Elmwood Park in a 3 bedroom Town Home/Apartment for almost 33 years. I stayed at Elmwood Park because my children wanted to stay in the Waverly school district. All of my children are now adults, but still live with my daughter and son in-law. We moved because the market rent I paid for went from $883.00 per month to $1,029.00 and was told that all of Elmwood Park was to become section 8 and there would be a rise in crime. So, they paid me $1,500 for moving expenses and I moved! There had always been crime there at Elmwood Park but crime is everywhere anymore. I think it that I just knew too much about the company as my older daughter at one time was the manager at many of the First Housing Properties and I knew all the dirty details. The bottom line they wanted to get rid of me and I thank them. NO MORE Sub-stander everything and lazy maintenance. They actually did me a favor! Thank you to Elmwood Park for not having to worry about poor maintenance and the management lying.
