My experience with this company was not good. I was in a difficult position, and the worker I dealt with took full advantage of my situation by giving me a substandard product and service. Daily car rental for $19.95 a day sounds like a reasonable deal, but the car rented to me was the worst I have ever driven. The car was very noisy and was likely burning oil. The interior of the car was falling apart. The air conditioning didnt work further, since part of the center console was missing, the fan blew hot air on my leg while I was driving. When I complained I got a lot of excuses about how busy they were, and how poorly other customers treated them (not really surprising). Further I was told that they didn't have a secretary or a person to detail the cars. The car could not be improved by detailing, and a secretary isn't going improve the businesss condition. I am easy to please and I will not ever deal with this business again. I would warn any customer away from Owen Motor.

I took my car in for engine light and stalling at some stop lights. They found out it was just a sensor, after I have had this at other places for this problem. They are very reasonably priced.

My family & I were stranded late one afternoon with a broken down car while we were in the beginning of a long move. They happily got me in the first thing the next morning (a Saturday) & had us back on the road. What started out as a very dangerous, nearly disastrous brake failure ended with a great repair exactly when we needed it. They were more than fair on the charges even though I was clearly in a position to have to pay anything. I am posting this review everywhere I can for Owen Motors in Hamlin, PA.

Bought a 2000 Volkswagon Cabrio w/ 47k mls & dealer said it was original mls. After the sale noticed a sticker on the door stating the odometer was rolled back to 0 at 50k miles, so the car & engine actually had 97k on it. Carfax report verified this info. Dealer would not give any refund or even an extra 6 months service warranty. Ironic thing is I paid book value for the car as if it had 97k mls & not 47k (this was almost double the book value). So dealer claimed he didnt know about the odometer rollback, so then why was the sticker $4k less than the book value for a car w/ that low miles?? Was deceived by the dealer, beware of this place. Get your carfax BEFORE you purchase!! UPDATE!!!- Dealer added additional 6 months warranty after numerous calls & complaints. Said they called the auction company & complained they were misled on the actual mls & received a refund from them & passed this along to me. Changed Rating from 1 star to 3. ALWAYS GET CARFAX PRIOR TO PURCHASING ANY CAR!
