Being the owner of 4 cats and 2 dogs, and a lifetime lover/owner of animals.....I'm ALWAYS cautious about veterinarians. I took my oldest "Big Mama" cat to this clinic recently because I was able to get a "next day" appointment. I'm glad I did. Dr Raines treated Big Mama for a dental infection and the next week, removed a decayed/infected tooth and cleaned the few she had left. Embarassingly so, I had always been ignorant of appropriate dental care for the cats. Sadly so, unbelievably my past vet experiences had left me with not much more enlightenment. It pains me that my kitty had probably been in pain for months due to another vets "the tooth is loose, let nature take its course". That course is called periodontitis and is PAINFUL. I will be taking my other 2 kitties to Dr Raines within the month for dental checkups.

This clinic is great. Very caring folks, very reasonably priced and always willing to help, especially if it's on short notice. Also, kudos to Dr Moore who I had the pleasure of meeting on my last visit. He took great care with my dog, was very thorough and explained everything in a way I could completely understand. Helped me alot.

We had a great vet in California, but when we moved to Tennessee we couldn't find anyone like him here, no matter what city we were living in. But when we moved to La Vergne and found this vet clinic, it was like our old vet was back taking care of our pets. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the doctors are really caring. The prices are excellent and the doctors don't jump to prescription meds as a first choice solution. They really know they're stuff and how to explain it to you as a pet parent to help alleviate your concerns. If we ever moved away, I would drive the extra distance just to keep my pets in their care.

This vet has been right on for us on two occasions. They don't overdue treatment and have the most reasonable prices that I've EVER found. We left two other vets for over testing and expensive treatments. This vet seems more experienced, and for that reason he's more sure about what is needed and what is not.I pay $12 to have my dogs fecal glands expressed and have been charged $300 for the same with unnecessary anesthesia and recovery services etc.Several neighbors have gone for years and I'll never go elsewhere!

Do not take your pet to this vet. Our dog had been trying to bite at his behind and his behind was raw and really red. Several people told us it is probably his fecal glands. We took our dog to Lavergne Vet Clinic and he insisted our dog's fecal glands were fine and gave us a worming medicine as well as another type of medicine that we had to pay for. After 4 days our dog was still biting at his behind and it was still red. We decided to take him to another vet in Symrna, TN and right away they advised us that his fecal glands were needing to be extracted. Of course, the redness went away and our dog no longer bites his behind.
