Picture this, Sicily, 1984. A little Sicilian boy at the tender age of 8 years old started working in a little bakery. Who knew that same boy would come to America at age 15 and work his way up the restaurant lladder to establish his very own restaurant in 2008! (he actually makes the bread for the subs and the entrees from the same bread recipe he learned as a boy.) No stranger to hardwork, with an attention to detail from the oven to the table, Francesco has a God-given talent to share with the world. Some people are born to be politicians, doctors, or lawyers. Francesco's life was predestined to be a restauranteur and Chef. He knew that, to be fact, the very first day he began developing his talents in that little bakery in Sicily, 27 years ago.

Wonderful dining experience!! Excellent.. from the delicious food to the small intimate atmosphere and the fabulous service (our waiter was Elliott)!! We were on our 40th wedding anniversary trip and had traveled from New York city and Washington DC and had not eaten at a better place!! Francesco's was by far the best!!!
Fantastic italian meals. Love everything we have ordered. Chef owned restaurant so meals are made with love and care..Delicious ! Service is always excellent and friendly. In fact we will go tomorrow and I can't wait.

The food was fantastic, the lunch specials were big portuons for a great price, and the service could not have been better. This was the best experience the entire time in Williamsburg.

Superb, high quality food. The staff is welcoming, polite, efficient and unobtrusive. Sauces are fresh - not bottled and the experience of the Chef is evident in the perfect seasonings. Seafood is not overcooked, pasta dishes are not a pile of pasta with a few toppings, this is authentic Italian cuisine and the best I've had in the Hampton Roads area. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation - folks who know superior food will be lined up at the door.
I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions. It rated as one of the top Italian Restaurants in Williamsburg year after year. The atmosphere is romantic and the food is delicious. Everything is mad on the spot by the owner. I have tried them all and the only place I have been that can compete with Francesco's food is in Chicago. Comparing the Olive Garden to Francesco's is like comparing a Ford Focus to a Lexus. You get what you pay for when you eat out. I was at Francesco's again tonight and had another wonderful experience.
