My family and I took a much needed weekend trip to Kure Beach this past weekend.
I called beforehand to find out the price and was given a "turn key $395. for 2 nites (friday and saturday).
I called back and booked 1 nite. Apon arriving to the Blue Marlin we decided we really needed the break and would stay the 2 nites. We asked if we could do this and was given a price of $530.00. I asked why I was told the day before it was $395.00. The lady advised me that must have been her husband, but she really didn't need the hassle or attitude and fine just take it.
We checked in and her husband came over as we were unloading and told us that he was quoting us for a different room and the room we were in was a weekly rental room. He would just refund us the money. I told him he quoted me that price. He said fine and walked away.
Later that evening he unlocked the door himself and came in to bring comforters for the bed.
The next morning he came barging into the room and told us the children had broken his cement by throwing rocks off of the balcony. I was with the children and this never happened and I told him so. He then saw rocks on the porch that I was using to keep my towels to blow off. He started screaming at me that they could have fallen over the balcony and to get off his property. He did not want our business. Get out. All of this in front of the children.
We left and went to the Atlantic Towers and had a wonderful time!
We rode by a few hours later and saw a new car in front of the room we stayed in at Blue Marlin. So apparently he had a better offer for a longer amount of time and more money.
Horrible Rude people.
