Too many problems to write in detail. Overview: the head mechanic is a liar and cheat. They use the flat rate manual against clients instead of limiting costs as intended. They GROSSLY overcharge for parts, often as much as 5x retail. ex: $225 for a $44 caliper; $91 for a $7 brake hose; $255 for a control arm when a simple press bushing would have "fixed" a part that wasn't even broken - but they aren't allowed to "rebuild" parts.

Went in because of a coupon for a $100 one-axle brake job. Then they told me it would cost $300-350 because the rusted rotors needed replacement. And that the wheel cylinders might need replacement as well. When I looked at the rusty/leaking wheel cylinders, they told me yeah, they'd have to be replaced. When they finally finish, they surprise me with a $600 bill! That model of wheel cylinder only retails $28 for a pair online. The brake drums: $80/pair. The brake shoes: $15/pair. No other parts. With $104/hr labor (which you know they're not actually taking home), it's all about markup, markup, markup. After enough yelling at them, I managed to get them to lower the bill 50 bucks, but still... Go to an honest mechanic whose costs you can actually see. This place just sees you as a cash machine.

charged me 427 dollars for jut a muffler for a 1999 Toyota camery 6 cyl. Most expensive muffler I found on line was 200 dollars. And oh by the way this did not. Include labor. Almost 900 dollars to change pipe and muffler from ( not including catalic converter ) back.

Took my 2000 pontiac here one day to get an oil change and have power steering fluid checked as i had been hearing that whine. I knew that the sound was related to my power steering. They informed me that the power steering fluid was "completely full" and did not need filling and that their suggestion was to flush it out and charge me 100 bucks to see if that could be the problem. I was so worried, did not have even an extra 20 bucks more than what i was already spending. I drove the next couple of days wondering where i would get the money to fix a huge problem. Just for the heck of it hubby checked the fluid himself and it was bone dry. $5 took care of the problem. Wondering how much extra money they take from people every day. Smh
