- New ConstructionScott P. Schaeffer, PMP, PSP joined JBC with a couple of years of PennDOT construction inspection experience. He continued performing services as a Transportation Construction Inspection at JBC for five years before being introduced to CPM Scheduling. As a Scheduler, Scott was assigned to the Construction Management team on $500 million in construction in District 8 for six years. He also worked on projects for transit and rail agencies as well as the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Among his projects are the Turnpike’s Valley Forge Widening and Route 29 All Electronic Toll Interchange, and PennDOT’s SR 422 Schuylkill River Bridge. Scott has served as JBC’s Safety Officer, Project Manager and Director of Transportation Construction Services. Scott has been instrumental in the growth of JBC, particularly in the past 10 years where he has served as JBC’s Executive Vice President. As Executive Vice President, Scott is responsible for staff training, client development and new opportunities to grow the firm. The construction value of these projects varies from under $10 million to over $3 billion in new construction, rehabilitation, renovations and additions, and demolition.

- Retaining WallsDetails: JBC Associates was the Construction Manager performing full service CM/CI services during the construction of a new $60 million interchange connecting the Pennsylvania Turnpike with Route 29 and the 202 Corridor. The new interchange at Exit 320 is the Turnpike’s first full, or “four-way,” All-Electronic Toll Interchange. The project included the construction of new eastbound and westbound EZ-Pass tolling facilities, new entrance and exit ramps, mainline widening of the Turnpike from four to six lanes, retaining walls and a weigh-in-motion station.
