My husband and I were in the Kinder area and decided to eat at Cilantro's upon the recommendation of a friend. We were not prepared for the fabulous food that we found there. It was the best Mexican food I have ever had. Usually at a Mexican restaurant we find the food to be slightly greasy. That was not the case at Cilantro's. The food was perfect. The prices we fare as well. I had the recommendation which was steak fajitas, for $10.95 and my husband had the enchiladas verdes for about $9. The staff was friendly and thoughtful. I cannot wait to go back. This will defiantly be a stop on our route every time we're in the area.

I thought to myself, " Mexican food in Kinder, LA?" This I have to see. I love Mexican food and I love it to be closer to authentic than not. While Cilantros menu is your typical TexMex it's very good. The beans actually tasted "re"-fried and the rice was browned which is the authentic way to do it. This place won't blow your mind, but it's really good especially considering it's rural Louisiana location. I think I'll try it again next time I'm up there.
