The Keene Public Works Department provides community development and environmental health protection services. It offers a wide range of services, such as collection and disposal of leaves, street and alley maintenance, snow removal and ice control, collecting and chipping brushes, sweeping streets, roadway sign maintenance and pavement striping. The services provided by the department also include street and traffic sign maintenance, wastewater collection and treatment, forestry management, and maintenance of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems. It also offers water supply treatment, protection and distribution, street and bridge designing and maintenance services, including paving, line painting and general upkeep.
